So, it's been a little over a year since I traded in my VFR. Electrics were failing, bodywork was falling off, there was a hole in the muffler the size of a silver dollar to allow it to clear the nut on the rear hub. I was not the first owner and it'd seen its fair share of use and abuse from everyone down the line. So I traded it in and got a 2008 EX250 back in February of last year. Fun bike, little lacking on power, but I can deal with that. Threw a Corbin on it and some bar risers to do longer-distance stuff. It works for about 250 miles, then I start to realize how cramped the legs are on this thing. I'm not a tall guy by any means (5'7") but this just won't do. It looks like it's time to add a second bike to my stable again, and you can be damned sure it'll be another VFR. The EX250 will be relegated to track duty.

Anyone else made a big mistake and gotten rid of their VFR? How long did it take you to realize what a bad thing you'd done?

I got rid of my VFR after it went belly up. The only thing I regret is the person I sold it to, he was a jerk and told me it looked like crap.

Sat on one today... almost wrote a check but it was WAY overpriced. I keep looking on eBay and Craigslist hoping I'll find my previous VFR again. (1990 with 4th gen frontend, fox twin clicker, and a two brothers stainless left-exit system)
