Just finished removing the linked brakes and must say it is a worthy mod! Anyone else done this? What are your views on the linked brakes? I have all the specs for the needed parts, lines, plugs etc...

How about an "how thread" if ya have pictures, part numbers and so on. I like the LBS but am sure many would love to see what was involved.

I removed the LBS system from my 6th gen. '03 VFR800 four years ago Maxim68. Plain and simply stated,I saw no advantage to it. You can see a few pics of my bike in my post "Pics of My '03 VFR800 Jokermobile" in the VFR General Discussions Photo Gallery.

Mello Dude had a cool solution to removing the LBS system from his 5th gen. '98 VFR800 that you might want to check out as well. You can find his "A Gearhead's Brake Delinking Saga" post in the How To Articles Forum, under Brakes and Tires. Grab yourself a bag of chips and something to drink, because it's a very entertaining read.

Does de-linking the brakes kill the ABS system?
