The bar angle on my 94 is a too turned in for me, I am wondering if it is possible to rotate the stock clip on bars out a little, so they are a bit straighter, when I am riding the outside of my wrists get very sore from the angle, or are a set of heli bars the only option?

sounds like you need to support yourself with your back and legs more. no weight should be on your wrists.

but to answer your question, no.

There is a small amount of adjustment that you can do but they have tabs the go into the top plate that keeps them from moving much. If you file/grind off the tabs you can move them to within any clearance of the tank and fairings.

Im not having a problem with the weight on my wrists, its the angle of my wrists due to the backward angle of the clip-ons, my wrists have to turn out to match the angle and makes the outside of my wrists sore. I might have to file the tab off if I cant find a set of helibars.

If you do not want to file them, you may be able to raise them enough to move them out of the slots. I was able to do that on my 2000 anyway.

how do you go about raising the bars up? Ive never really messed with the bike or suspension or anything, ive just rode it, just want to tweak it a bit.

Loosen the clamp bolt on the clip on and slide it up. You can go as far as the snap rings at the top of the fork tube. This will not change the handling of the bike, just your seating position slightly and the angle of the clip on, as you mentioned.
