My VFR has been to Kzoo... but you would have never seen me unless you were on WMU campus... Never saw another VFR over there...lots of 600's though and a few rich kids on liter bikes. Oh, and the ever present moped gangs...lmao. Oh, there is a guy that I always see riding a Ducati Monster around there in full leathers but every time I see him, I'm in the cage and can't keep up to start up a chat, but he seemed like a decent rider to hang out with. A good place to go ask about VFR's might be the MSF course right next to WMU. If you take Kalamazoo Ave east into campus and swing a right at the roundabout you'll go past the parking lotwhere they host it (it's between Howard and the campus street off the right roundabout exit...can't think of the name) Bet some of the coaches there might have some info on who's around town.

Grand Rapids has two that I've talked to on VFRD but never ridden with...yet.

Jackson...5.. including mine. One red 5th gen I saw pulled over downtown riding two up with mohawks(couple kids younger than me even)...doubt they ever heard of vfrw or vfrd lol. Saw another red 5th gen parked around town, and have actually ran into the owner twice while at a gas station and stop light when he was driving his caddy around and I was on my bike. Thing had less than 10k miles on it he said!!!! Saw a yellow 5th gen (duh?) at my local township police office less than 3 miles from my house once and have never seen it again. I've seen an 87 before and it's for sale now I think too last I knew.

Oh, I did meet a guy at subway in Jackson who had an ST1300(does that count? lol) and he struck up conversation with me(he was in the cage) but he was making comments about the V4 engine's racing heritage and history. Impressed the hell out of me!

I've seen a quite a few 5th and 6th gens for sale on craigslist over the past two years in the Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit areas but have never ridden with anyone over that way. Couple of the AA/Metro Detroit people talk on VFRD pretty often so I might ride with them this summer.

I still get people that come up to me at gas stations with confused looks making comments like "never saw a sport bike with luggage before". They are usually cruiser riders though. Go figure.
