I there a trick to removing th tank on a 94 VFR. I have taken of the rear fairing and removed the bolt on the bottom of the tank near the seat. Is there anything else securing it.
I can not get it to budge. It is just like it still bolted on.
    ????????????

Be sure to close the petcock. Then disconnect the gas line, electrical connection and breather tubes from underneath. With the rear bolt removed, carefully lift the back of the tank and draw it backwards. Two rubber bushings keep the front of the tank in place in the frame - they fall off and are easily lost as do the rear bushings. Stick them back on with some silicone.

Oh yeah.... it's a good idea to disconnect the battery too.

ok, the trick is that there is a small pipe (part 24 below) that the bolt you rides in between the "ears" of the tank under your johnson. sometimes it slips into one of the ears and makes removal hard. After that, pull up 2", make sure the petcock is off, and pull the gas line
