    Hey everyone!

The name's Chris. Found my way here while checking out an Interceptor as a possible replacement for 2006 Kawi Z750S that was just totalled (not a scratch on me...I LOVE good gear!). My first encounter with the pavement since starting riding back in the early 80's...and I'm going to get back on the road as soon as I can.

My Kawi dealer also carries Honda, and just pulled a Candy Red '07 Interceptor out of the crate. VERY nice! I've done a little research and so far it looks like the VFR is one of the few (affordable) sporty all-around bikes between, say 650 and 850 cc. I'm looking for something in that size range that will handle the daily commute (22 mi each way, 50-50 on back roads and in moderate traffic) + weekends on winding country roads, at least as well as did the Z, and hopefully better. I have a set of Cortech Sport bags that I'm hoping to transfer over to the new bike. And I prefer new over used, and doing the break-in and mods myself.

SO this post is to say Hello, and that any input or advice on the choice of the VFR would be welcomed.

    Chris

Welcome! As everyone will say, I am sure you will be thrilled with a VFR. The comfortable riding position will carry you through your commutes right into longer weekend rides. If you maintain her well, she will last you a very long time also.

Sorry to hear you were down though, but its great that you came out ok!

I'm in Howard County, west of Columbia. Not too crowded out here (for now!), nice roads for a quick spin in the evening. The commute is in to Bethesda.
