Ok folks, Round 3 is this weekend. Any bold predictions for this weekend's race? Can Lorenzo repeat? Will Dani podium again? Let's hope Nicky will at least get past the first corner this race and let us see what he can do on the Ducati. According to MotoGP's fantasy pool, I'm # 4740! UGH! I better change my pick selection process. I think I'm liking the throwing darts ritual. It's about as predictable as the races.
If the weather is good, things should be more consistent. One thing to note, Casey has never been on the box at Jerez  Lorenzo, Rossi, and Dani should figure prominently. 1326 for me, if the weather is good I look to make a little surge..... 226 after 2 races would put you in the top 100...I'm camping on 222, going into Jerez......
my guess for the top 4, in this order - rossi, stoner, lorenzo, pedrosa, pretty standard top 4, and i hope hayden and edwards are close behind. i think rossi is itching for a first place finish...
Great qualifying. Looks like Lorenzo holds the hot wrist right now. And Dani had a very impressive qualifying as well. Let's see if he can get his Honda on the podium again. Looks like they'll actually get sunny and warm weather for the race this time, instead of rain. Should be a good race! 1 LORENZO Jorge SPA 41 16 25 2 ROSSI Valentino ITA 40 20 20 3 STONER Casey AUS 38 25 13 4 DOVIZIOSO Andrea ITA 22 11 11 5 PEDROSA Dani SPA 21 5 16 6 EDWARDS Colin USA 17 13 4 7 KALLIO Mika FIN 16 8 8 8 VERMEULEN Chris AUS 15 9 6 9 DE ANGELIS Alex RSM 13 10 3 10 MELANDRI Marco ITA 12 2 10 11 DE PUNIET Randy FRA 11 6 5 12 CAPIROSSI Loris ITA 9 - 9 13 ELIAS Toni SPA 8 7 1 14 TOSELAND James GBR 7 - 7 15 HAYDEN Nicky USA 4 4 - 16 GIBERNAU Sete SPA 3 3 - 17 CANEPA Niccolo ITA 2 - 2 18 TAKAHASHI Yuki JPN 1 1 -

The race for the second half of the top ten should be enjoyable to watch. I think I spend more time watching those guys then the top 3.
True. The top 3-5 are kind of predictable. But surprises do happen. But you're right, you usually get some better racing back in the pack. On another note, starting in France (in 2 weeks) MotoGP is extending the free practice and qualifying sessions from 45 minutes to 1 hour. Hopefully, this will allow the guys some extra time to make their final tweaks to their bikes.
