    So, I was working on my bike, and realized that I need a new spring for my rear shock.

    I noticed that the rear shock is an aftermarket ohins shock! does anyone know about these, and what type of spring would go on here? I am totally confused! and the spring is past the point of sandblasting, it needs a new spring bad.

    anyone?

    If it an Ohlins, it should be rebuildable but will probably have to be pulled and inspected to see if it worth the rebuild price $$. Look for a local suspension shop first or ones in the Bay Area ie;

    Lindemann Engineering Contact Information

    for pricing.

    It may be cheaper to match the shock length with an eBay or CL purchase from a CBR for example.

    1986 shock

    If you're going to rebuild it, I would highly suggest the Hyperpro spring.

    You can buy the parts direct from Ohlins USA. Motorcycle

    I just bought a new spring from them, call Matt Sage, he was very helpful.

    Naake Motorsports in Roseville is an authorized repair center also. http://www.naake.com/

    the shock is an 46 HRC. I have been pretty busy with school and have not had time to go to my neighbors shop. I will get pics tomorrow, when we start tearing down my motor.

    Ohlins parts are super expensive. If you are interested, I can get you a discount on a new Hyperco spring (that's what I install). Just let me know the length and rate you need!

    PM me your email and I can send you their price list for rebuild parts(seals, etc) if you want. No spring prices...but you can get a new spring from anyone you want.

    My Ohlin's shock is actually being delivered to their service center this morning to HOPEFULLY have a seal replaced under warranty...e-mail support has been pretty friendly/good so far but we'll see how friendly their in house service center is....

    I bought a Hyperco last month for a Penske shock and it was $100 shipped to my door (https://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm), the Ohlins spring I just bought was $101 to my door, same price.
