Hello everyone, I'm planning on fabricating a rear stand for my 91' Viffer. I want to either duplicate the current Pit-bull one armed stand that they have on their site or make my own design. I dont know anyone with a VFR stand so i dont have anything to measure off of. I guess the only thing i really need is the dimensions for the diameter and length of the pin. It would be nice if someone had a diagram of the stand they fabbed themselves. Has this been done before? I have been looking all nite and havent come across anything online. Any help is much appreciated guys, if whatever i make works out, i will be willing to make more and sell only for the cost of materials if anyone is interested cuz i think that $140 that pit-bull charges is just a little overpriced in my opinion.
Homemade VFR stand A. Where do you live, maybe someone is near you. B. Watch fleabay, they do come up. SAme model for Duc's, etc. C. CAn be as simple as a pipe and 2 pieces of 2X4. There's one on the market that is literally 4 pieces of pipe, handle, lift and wheels. Its your time and money, go for it. Larry
I live in Flanders, NJ I know they're on ebay and all that but i have the tools and materials to do it myself so why not save some money? All i really need is the pin diameter of the stand, so if anyone has a few extra minutes and doesnt mind to take a measurement on their stand I would appreciate it. Also, i know that the stands from Pit-Bull have a built in bearing so that the wheel can spin while on the stand, how exactly is the bearing fastened to the stand and how does the pin sit in there (how tight is the fit). Thanks alot guys.
