    Hello All,

I'm the proud new owner of a 2003 ABS in Silver. I picked it up this weekend. It was ridden A LOT by a guy who did a lot of touring, so it's got some decent miles on it already. 57K to be exact. That would have been a show stopper for most other bikes, but I figure I can probably get a bunch more out of this one. It rides great and it's definitely broken in. You guys can probably guess what it looks like but I'll list out the mods he's put into it for ya.

    Power Commander
    Dual under seat Staintune mufflers
Ohlin Rear Shock with rebound, dampening and remote hydraulic pre-load
    HeliBar handlebar risers
    1” lower buell foot pegs
    Heated grips
Pigtail provided for electric vest and battery tender
    Throttle Meister
    2” Extended mirrors
    Laminar Lip on wind screen
    Separate Double Bubble black
    Frame sliders
Head light modulator with day light sensor

I LOVE the way the bike sounds w/ the Staintunes.

I've been riding for about 10 yrs. I bought a brand new R6 in 2004 and loved it till I sold it in 2006 to help buy a ring and a house.

I then picked up a 78 SR500 which was fun but I REALLY missed things like electric start and fuel injection and oil that stayed inside the engine. I wrecked it in sept 07 and am just getting a new bike.

I picked the VFR because I can only have one bike. This seems like the best bike that fits my requirements of being sporty, tourable, small enough to ride around town, and big enough to be comfortable on the highway. I love the swingarm and the undertail exhaust. I was a bit apprehensive to go Honda because I've always been a Yamaha man, but as long as i take care of her I'm sure she'll treat me just fine. I look forward to learning all I can about my new machine and to be a valuable addition to this online community.

Sweet bike! One thing is for sure, you will have almost nil mods to do on your new bike. Ohlins, Staintune, PC, Heli, Frame Sliders ... damn its the whole freaking package. Congratulations!

Welcome! I just did the same thing you did. I just swapped my 03 Silver/Black R6 for a 08 Silver VFR :) Hope to have many of the mods you have on your new ride by the summers end.

thanks guys. The only thing i'm gonna have to tweak immediately is the location of the frame sliders. I'll take them off and go without rather than ride with them. they kill my shins/knees right now. I'm gonna see if i can relocate them elsewhere. I'm open to suggestions if anyone's got one. :)
