In all friendliness....don't be a cheapskate and do the right thing and go to a dyno and get your own custom map. It's the way it's supposed to be done.

That being said...I haven't got mine to the dyno yet:biggrin:.... what? I'm a poor college kid living in Michigan...things are not exactly flourishing here lately. lol.

Good luck finding a map but you won't be getting your money's worth until you get a custom map.

If you search Cozey on this forum you'll find a thread titled 2002 VFR Power commander 3 map?? and there you'll find the Cozey map. However they changed the vtech transition in 06 so this map might not be for you.

No ones dyno run is going to be exactly the same, all bikes vary. That being the case, simply download any of the aftermarket exhuast maps from dynojets website and this will be as good as any other map you could borrow. Your going to be close without the dyno run, were not talking about headers and cams....its just mufflers. As for the map: Exhuast type wont matter, filter type wont matter. A race can is a straight shot, not much difference between any of them. There are only a handfull of options on dynojet. I just installed my Remus cans tonight, PC and o2 mod to be done tomorrow. I had Sport Tour load a map for me, they chose : Staintunes/stock or aftermarket filter/ o2 censor blockers. Since the PC is usb I can try other maps anytime, just plug in and downlaod. May try the others on the dynojet site just to see if I can even tell a difference...Im betting I wont be able to tell one map from another. maybe a blind test? lol

Just curious, how much do dyno's usually cost on average. I have LV Carbon's, PCIII, K&N air filter, and 330 ohm 02 eliminators. Have a genaric map from the PCIII site but think I'll get better performance with a custom. Don't want to spend a fortune tho.

custom map cost me $250 with no max hp gain but driveability is night and day. my opinion is it was worth every penny.

Thanks for the pricing. Maybe I'll call the local dealer if I get some time in the next few weeks.
