All-American aka Donati in SCruz is good, but parts are $$$ and they're way south in SCruz. MDK in Redwood City is a pretty nice place, but they just jacked their parts prices through the roof ($290 instead of $210 for new tires, just the tires, not installed). They seem to have a new service manager. Alan, the previous guy, was well-recommended. Penninsula Honda-Ducati... They seem to aim for the track-poseur crowd, and price accordingly. Excellent display of Ducati replacement dry-plate clutches that are total works of art. So.... other choices? I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains (split between Saratoga and Santa Cruz). And work in Palo Alto.
Alan from MDK I really liked working with Alan. I was wondering if anyone had a last name, or contact information for him. At honda/kawasaki in Redwood City, which changed its name to MDK motorsports. I'm also looking for a mechanic who might like to work on my bike, outside the dealership.
