    Hmmmm

Well FJ, I think I made the same mistake you did. Soda fountain Red is just too orange!! There's $180 out the door. The guy said three days....took a week and a half, then took my frickin stainless valve stem.....lost it ofcourse........Now the story is that he has to order the particular red powder coat and his supplier has a minimum order weight......yes I have to pick up that 150$ tab, then pay this guy another $180 to coat the wheels again. Did I mention that he was gonna charge me another $55 to strip the wheels? Dudes? I can't wait. I am painting these wheels with the rattle can. I'll pay to have'em coated next winter. My headers are on the way back from Jet Hot.....and I want to get this thing back together. This guy will have my rims another 2 weeks. I can prep and paint these in a night. Hopefully the duplicolor won't chip too badly.

Nice wheels! I just bought a 86 honda 700vfr with nasty white wheels I plan to powder coat them all gloss black with red highlights on the spoke edges. It should look real good. My shop powdercoats tons of motorcycle wheels and I can honestly say that powdercoated wheels are a ton more durable and if done right have a great deep look to them as compared to spray bomb.

That really sucks, sounds just like what I went through, and a little bit worse. I didn't trust the original guy to do the job again and looked around some more and found a really good shop. It is tough finding a good shop it seems like. Hope your next effort pays off for you.

Yo!!! What's up all. I'm almost done. I did a headlight mod too, but I don't know if the trim should be chrome or black. Gimme an idea. Remind me not to leave sockets on the ground while sitting on the bike......yup, you already know what happened LOL. Nothing damaged except my pride. Gotta go.....changing the oil and plugs!

Thank you for the compliment. Actually it's not a wolf system. AfterI got out bid on ebay, I decide to make my own. That's a custom mid pipe....and I had it Jet Hot coated so it wont rust. The muffler is a shortened Two Bros pipe by yours truly.

Looks good, did you have the pipe mandrel bent? Im wanting to do the same on my 4 gen but no Mandrel benders around here to take the bike to and have mocked up.

Cool headlights too. Lets hijack this thread a bit and you can lets us know about them.

No....is was done on a manual pipe bender. It's kinked, but you can't see it when it's mounted. and yes....pipe benders are really hard to find.
The headlights are projectors that I got off ebay. Keep in mind that I don't have highbeams right now, but that's by choice. I didn't want to ruin the stock housing, so I removed the stock headlight reflectors. This could go back to stock with about an hours work. The projectors are mounted with nuts and bolts. I "did" have to drill a couple holes, but nothing major.
I don't know what you call them, but the nuts are similar to what you'd find in a car speaker mounts. These are good because the screws go through the projector housing and give adjustment. Installation is easy, but aiming is a pain. Just make sure the bike is on the center stand and mark the cutoff from the stock headlight(on a wall or garage door with tape). Mount and aim the projectors in the same spot. Right now both hid lights come on when fired up. I think I am going to wire it so one light is on with low beam and both are on with Hi beam. They is another guy who did this too on here somewhere on his 6th gen. Oh yeah Projectors are long, soooo....make sure you check and check again for fork clearance. I just had to move the pin holding the throttle cable. :thumbsup..... Happy to help.
