    Hi All,

I guess the first of many questions. Can I fit a 1994 muffler to a 1993. Cant find many 93's out there.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hy there Kalaika!
Wellcome from Portugal! You are almost in the opposite side of the globe!

As for the muffler i'm not sure, but since the bikes have the same engine i think it may fit.

Either way it better for you to wait and listen to what this guys have to say! I'm sure someone will help you!

And may the force V4 be with you!

no, it's not a simple swap. You would need to swap the header from the 4th gen in order to make a 4th gen muffler fit. They have a completely different header/muffler mount.

Check 91 to 93. The net should provide enough pix of bikes to get an idea of how the pipes ie the header hangers on later bikes look. Also plenty of used stuff on the market.

I have a 91 I bought new. I sweet talked the dealer into a Yoshimura can and put it on before leaving the shop. Still on the bike with zero problems.

Try some of the less advertised makers of exhaust systems too. Many of the larger suppliers have more in stock for bikes than is shown on the online and the hard copy catalogs.

I got one to work. Used a 93 OEM dented muffler to make an "elbow" joint of such, no leaks.... paint flat back and mount up a Gen4 can. See pic....
