ever since i've gotten my bike, i've always hated the color of the rims. a white bike with silver rims. Hmmmm. every thing else on the bike is either white or black. so why the silver rims? go figure.

well, as many of you recall, jeff, the guy in Michigan parting out his(?) 2004 asphalt black VFR. why? well that leaves much for debate. but who cares? a lot of people here were able to get their hands on some very nice, hardly used spare parts for their own bikes. and that's all that matters. once people started to post follow-ups stating that they received the parts they had payed for, i realized this guy was no scammer. so i was able to get my hands on both the wheels and tires. a package deal. tires with a mere 1000 some-odd miles on them. and they just happen to be the same model i'm riding on now. Michelin Pilots. love 'em.

anyhow, reason for this post, pictures of the new wheels on my bike. take a gander:

    OLD WHEELS

I went into this thinking the front would be the easiest to swap out. Sadly mistaken.
Pain in the balls. Not really difficult, just tedious. Don't you dare laugh at my bike jack!

oh yeah, with that being said, i'll now be posting my old silver wheels on ebay once i get the tires off. i'm keeping those.

Oh, and I laughed hard core when I saw your jack stand BEFORE I read your comments...not because it's funny or anything...but just because I've done the same thing! lol

i'll take $200 for the silver rims. (sans tires)
naturally i'd prefer someone to pick them up but will ship at your expense.
PM me if interested, otherwise you can try your luck with them on ebay.

here ya go SLOVFR, a pic from the "correct" side
    [IMG]

and Gunzer, i got the tank protector during one of my travels through Europe. specifically, Paris.
it's made by a company called Bagster it's part of their tank protector / bag system where the bag snaps onto the tank cover without the use of magnets etc...
i'm not sure if it's available in the US but that's why god invented google and the internet.
gotta tell ya, love it. adds a nice bit of cushion between your knees and the tank.
