Is there some alternative to the crappy little plastic push-through fasters used on some parts of the fairing? I've taken the plastic off twice now, and spent almost as much time trying to get the last two or three little black fiddly-bits back in place as it took me to remove all the screws.

    Thanks,
    C

I ordered a bunch from the dealer so if I snap one taking the bodywork off I know I have a spare. I have also seen them at autoparts stores for cheap.

It seems like I saw one of the bikes in the photo gallery had the chrome quick release clips like they use on racecars...

I always keep some spares on hand but in a pinch Lowe's has a pretty good nicknack section of hardware including some body clips. This stuff saved a trip to the dealer more than once and probably was cheaper.

Any auto body shop will have replacements for the plastic push fasteners.
Like Reg said, you can find 1/4 turn fasteners at any good sportbike shop and online. Google some up with "Dzus" (the inventors name). I bet MAW or SoloMoto or Dennis Kirk, or Indy superbikes, or Charpparal or....... you get the idea.
