Anyone know of a place I can get cheap body parts for a 2001 VFR. I need a new upper fairing for mine and would rather not pay $400 - $500 for it. If not has anyone tried to plastic weld theirs? Mine has some scratches and two small cracks. I may be able to jsut weld the plastic.

    Thanks

if you are not missing any peices and know a little about paint work i would plastic weld it. I have read on another forum a technique of melting legos in acetone and using it a a glue/putty in a ground out area that people claim works excelent on small cracks(I have not tried this method myself) Another alternative would be to buy a complete aftermarket set off of EBAY(tons of styles avalable recently) and selling the remaining parts to recoup your money.

Thanks for the advice. I have actually got a plastic welder and welded the cracks. It is taking quite a bit of sanding and I think I may need to use some bondo but it will be fine in the end. I have a friend that is a painte and he is painting it for me for $100.
