I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the new AMA rules are ridiculous. If Buell wants to race in the Supersport class, they should use the XB900. I have no problem with twins getting a little displacement advantage, but to have a bike with almost twice the displacement of the Japanese fours as competition is laughable. What really burns me is the praise the Buells get from the announcers. Sorry to rant but you are dead on, my friend.

I find it interesting that the Ducati 1098 is NOT legal in the Daytona Sportbike class (this is also the new "premier" class) but the 1125 Buell is. Why is it that Ducati is limited to the 848?

BTW, I don't want to sound like I'm biased toward Ducati because I'm not. Just find it interesting that not even the V-twins are on equal ground with each other.

Not to sound bitter but DMG Motorsports (read Roger Edmondson) can kiss my arse.

    Thanks for letting me gripe

It's called money and politics my friends. Buell can't compete in the sportbike market, so they must win some races. The "powers that be" get a little something to line their pockets with, and presto, rules change!

If only we didn't live in a society where the dollar dick-tates what happens...
