Follow up: The Transit suit IS like leather PJ's. Road test will be this weekend, no commute today, 30 degrees at the house.

Interested to hear about it Mac.

I have to say the Roadcrafter they sent me to try on was more than I expected! What a fine riding suit and the workmanship is excellent. I do believe you get what you pay for and it is nice to be able to get something that is still hand crafted in the good ole US of A.

Sent my 44L back and they are sending a 44R for me to try. Arms and legs were perfect on the 44L but it was too long in the torso.

Will confirm 44R fits in upper body and get a custom suit...half 44L and half 44R.

Leaning heavily toward the black with silver ballistics.

Mac, I've been trying to figure out how to afford the Transit since I first saw it in the catalog. Looking forward to hearing your impressions.

If you are ever in the San Diego area go check out Motoport gear.

I ended up taking the afternoon off. The weather just got too nice after a very long winter. It may snow again next week, but it was almost a perfect day. No wind, clear skies, temps in the upper 60's.
The first ride in the Transit was good. The fit is about usual in relation to other leather gear I've owned, the arms seem a little long, and the waist a little big as compared to room in the seat.
The suit is perforated, but no air gets in. No drafts. I believe that the perforations may be to aid in break in.
No rain today, so no comment on water proof capabilities, and it was the perfect temp for full leathers. I rode for three hours.
I am satisfied it will get better with use. I like my new leather pajamas.

Finally got the size right and my suit is in production. Tried a 44R, 44L, and a 46R. Went with the 46R, grey with black ballistics because the black with silver would have cooked me in CO in the summer time, and the alterations I got were the knee slider velcro, fwd rotated sleeves, 1" of length added below the knees, an american flag and three HONDA wing patches sewn on (red on black). Got the hip pads and competition back pad as well. Stoked!

My stich is still the go-to jacket when it would be too cold to ride otherwise.

I'm doing pretty good on my savings. I'm thinking of putting my power rangers suit up on craigslist to aid in the purchase of the stich... I have another set of leather so I don't really need the one piece...

    KC-10 Price was as follows:

    $797 base suit
    $60 custom leg length
    $60 knee velcro slider
    $49 knee slider pucks
    $85 additional fwd rotated sleeves
$25 american flag install...couldn't spend too much
3 x $15 for having my Honda patches sewn on
    $120 aerostich competition back pad
$35 hip pads (no hard shell)

    $1241 total

    Hope this helps...DZ

By the way, the workmanship on this suit is second to none!! It was worth the money, in my mind, to get a high quality product made in America.

I can't wait to get mine. I throw anything extra I have in the can for it... I found a used one on ebay but it was one size too big and so I decided to go the extra and get one custom fitted to me...

    I am with you Reg71

Here is another pic. I figured I'd wear a 44L, but tried a 44L, 44R, and a 46R and went with the 46R. In this picture I have serveral layers on underneath and it is still comfortable without being too loose with just a T-shirt and jeans underneath. Try them on until you know you are sure what to order!
