3000 miles on my set and they still look good. I've never had a pair of tires look this good at 3,000. I'll let you know how many miles I get out of them.

I shopped around and found them for $322 with shipping a set at tyrexprezz... BUT... I am throwing some biz to a local guy (Fugi's Factory) for more than that - actually, a good bit more than that, but the local guys need biz too... Especially in these difficult times.

He'll have them tomorrow and we'll mount/balance on Saturday if all goes well.

    good tyres

Pilot raod are the best sport tourig tyre available. in LA MOTO (Spain magazine) did a comparation of all sport touring tyres sold in europe, and the test machine was a 2007 VFR of course¡¡¡¡¡, the results were amazing, but as a resume Pilot raod were the best in agilily, good results at dry surface, excellent in wet condition, stable in corners and estremally durable.(always using 36 PSI on front, and 42 PSI rear)
if anyone want to check refer to La Moto

I like Bridgestone tires alot but the BT014's have not been a favorite of mine. They tend to lose their grip once the tire has a little more than 50% wear on them. And they suck unless the weather's warm. IMO

Highly recommend Pilot R2's for the VFR.

After replacing my previous (5sets) Pilot Powers with R2' have already clocked up my longest ever tyre life on a VFR of 9000kms on the front and 7000kms on the rear, slightly miss the quicker turn in of the Powers through tight twisites but everywhere else the R2's wet or dry are just brilliant, will get another set again in the next 2000kms.

    GGGGRRRRRRRR....

Fugi brain-farted and ordered me the Pilot _Power_ 2CT's by accident. Interestingly, they are about the same price, but that makes sense when you think about the manufacturing complexity - both tires require the unique 2CT process and the raw materials probably cost about the same.

Oh well, front brake pad and oil changes are done while the VFR waits for the new doughnuts... Tuesday eve....

I just put on a pair of these on my '07. Going from the stockers to these is night and day difference though I suppose anything after the stockers would be nice. Turning seems so much more responsive now. However this is my first set of tires other than the stockers and I have maybe 500 miles on them so I can't give much input but I am happy so far! My riding style is more grandma than superstar though too.

    First Ride tonight... 20 miles...

First impressions are very good, but then they always are when you spend that much money and replace something worn out.

Turn in is neutral and grip felt progressively better as I scrubbed the tires more.

One of the many things that have impressed me about the Pilot R2's even when nearing their last 15% no cupping on mine.

Mine currently have approx 5650 miles on the front and 4375 on the rear and look to have 1000 miles or so left.
