    Hi all.
I have an 06 VFR with factory hard bags. Is there a preferred slip on that fits with the mounting frame for the luggage?
Is there any problem with the removal of the heat shields from the OEM exhaust on the luggage. ie is there a noticeable increase in heat to the cases.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.
    Keith.

Lots of folks on here have aftermarket pipes with bags. Scubalong (who I ride with) has staintune exhausts and uses the factory bags with no problems that I know of. Contact him for more info.

I have the exact same question as the author... Any issues with not having the heat shields? Also, can you still use the heatshields with aftermarket pipes? I realize that would negate the whole cosmetic purpose..

Would GREATLY appreciate some feedback from several of you that have aftermarket pipes AND use the oem (givi monokey right?) saddlebags.

    Thanks!

I, like you had some questions about what aftermarket exhaust fit with OEM bags, I didn't get much response either. Leo Vince, Staintune, Two Bros, Remus, from what I have learned fit with the OEM bags. Scorpion, Micron don't, I have seen some threads where they said Two Bros. didn't fit, so who knows.

HRMMM, come to think of it, I've been assuming that any aftermarket exhaust designed for our gen VFR would 'fit' with the hard bags... my concern has only been whether there would be heat issues between the exhaust and the hard bags because ive never seen an aftermarket pipe with the OEM exhaust heat shield.
