Anyone know where I can get the connectors for my 87 700f2 to attach my front lowers, specifically the long bolt adapter?

vfrchuck is selling them (remakes) on ebay. And you can probably order via BikeBandit or PowerSportsPro's online parts databases (OEM parts).

Hey what does the connector look like that holds the lowers together at the bottom? Bikebandit shows a drawing but doesn't list it as a sellable item.

There are two pairs of plates with "teeth". A spring holds each pair together on the bike. I'll take pics later this afternoon (mine are all off the bike at the moment, so it's easy).

That's cool, whenever you can. I'm going to use your pics to fab something myself I think.

    Just bought some last year.
Not sure if this link will work like I would like for it to, however...
    COWL and hardware at BikeBandit.com

The two left and right lower stays are (long bars, as you put it) are item 23 for the bar, 53 for the frame bolt, 42 for Bar nut, and 38 for the Bar bolt. You need (2) of each for the top stays.

Lower stays are item 21, and you will need (2) of those, and (4) more of item 38

For the Lower Nose hinge, you need item 15 and 14 (the two plates which was refered), and the spring clips, item 27 (2) of them, and item 45, (2) of those.

Do not buy that crap from vfrchuck.

Dont get me wrong, Vfrchuck's stuff works just as good. However you can buy the ones from Bike bandit for a lot cheaper, and they serve the same purpose, and are more of the "original equipment".

Thanks. 14 and 15 are no longer sold. I may get the springs and figure something out myself for the plates I'll be able to tell after wood posts those pics. Thanks for the help.

27, the springs, are what I'm short one of after my get-off back in the fall. Not sure if it popped out when the bike went down, or I lost it when I was unbending things on the side of the road.

Here's the pics. I can send REALLY big versions if you PM me an e-mail address.

And yes, the insides of my fairings are a mess. The fuel tank vents here due to the removed charcoal canister. Need to relocate that line.
