Newbie here, just bought my first VFR. Only got my licence last Aug at 51 years old, always wanted a Harley so got myself a sportster. Nice bike to learn on but soon realised it wasn't gonna do the trips that my wife and I wanted. So after much research we decided on a VFR. Thames Valley Harley bought the sportster back off me and we found a beautiful 2004 Vtec with 3000 miles on the clock. Wow what a difference! So smooth, solid and very quick! I know feel like I have a real bike. On the motorway yesterday, overtook a car at around 75 MPH, looked at the speedo as I pulled in front and amazed to see I was doing 110 mph! Couldn't believe it as it was so smooth. Getting a top box this week and going for ride down to the south coast this week-end. I'll post some pics on the gallery. Cheers Robc
Welcome to VFRW Robc! Glad your happy with you viffer. Now you know why we're so hooked to it. Good luck, enjoy you new bike and ride safe!
Greetings Rob. Glad to hear you're liking your new VFR. Velvety smooth power delivery, rock solid build quality, and deceptively quick acceleration are all hallmarks of the VFR. It's truly eye-opening to find out just how good a motorcycle can be isn't it? Now you know why we like them. Safe travels, and Welcome aboard Rob.
Thanks for the welcome guys, I look forward to gaining as much info from this great site as I can and getting out on the road with the new bike. On Sunday about 2 hours after my first real ride, I went out on the bike again for another hour. Such a good feeling! Cheers Robc
Wellcome Robc! As you see is never too late! You have really made the right choice! Enjoy it! Cheers mate!
Ahoy matey! Welcome aboard the madness! As everyone has said, it's never too late. My father got his license through an MSF class in July of 2007 at the young age of 66 years old! (Retirement was boring for him! lol)
Welcome to the group robc. Glad to have you here. Viffers are addictive (and so is the site) aren't they?
Welcome to the madness mate. It appears the VFR addiction has already gotten hold of you. Congratulations. You'll never regret your purchase for a second. Ride safe!
