I have the tank bra off now, but Im feeling partial to it.
Story....found on craigslist $6800, comes with a sport fitted leather riding jacket. I arrange with the fellow and meet up. The price is now $6500 (no negotiations yet, just him saying it, I keep my mouth shut). Test ride, it's all good. He's leaving the country for good, but is going out of town for 10 days before that & wants a $500 deposit, via check (I'd rather do Paypal for safety). Im reluctant, so I didnt send the deposit, the listing was removed, and i call him up day 10 to see if he's ready to do it. He asks where deposit is, I said "in mail 3 days ago" which is not good by him. He calls the deal off.
I was reluctant b/c I didnt know if this guy was going to split with my money. Also, the bike was purchased in MI, registered in Maine, the bike was kept somewhere other than his residence. He didn't know much about maintaining the bike. It was ABS, but I couldnt tell, until i got the info (above) and he wouldnt take a phone picture of the detail. It was just uneasy for me, whether i screwed myself or not, and it fell through.
Regardless, I got myself a good deal on the 02 Red. Are you guys happy now after having heard my not so dramatic unimportant story? I hope LOL

When something on yourself twitches, back off. Yes, even for you know what.

    Follow up on this story...
The guy selling the RWB bike posted it on craigslist again and i posted a listing bashing him w/ details mentioned in the above story.

I just got a reply to that 'listing' from a "ScubaSteve", asking if I had the VIN for the bike and telephone # of the guy, b/c his was stolen 6 months ago.

I still have tele # and VIN so Im waiting for his reply before I send #'s out.
