OK, so I put in some new fork seals, suspect I did something wrong, because I'm not sure how to put in the new oil.

Has anyone done this while the bike is together? Can it be done? This is my first attempt at something like this.

If it cannot be done, can I get detailed specs on what I need to do? I have a manual, but it doesn't speak to bleeding the system.

I put in the new fork seals without removing the forks from the bike, so I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get the new oil in and BLEED it successfully. This is a 96, no bleeder on the system that I see....

    THANKS for any help here.

    hmm

I suspect someone mis-installed the fork seal before I got this bike, since one leaked and the fluid is clean. Front end felt great, just leaked.

I tried the link, it's dead. Do I have to take it all apart anyway?

Bleeding is not necessary, but after adding oil, fork should be moved (with springs removed) up and down several times before finally setting fork oil level.

add oil through top cap to level specified in manual.

if your seal was leaking examine your brake pads and rotor on that side as they may be contaminated by oil.......not good for braking, not good at all!
