I land on the left. I used to double foot land, but that makes for wobbly goings and stops for me.

Plus I like holding the bike with the rear brake of justice.

same here. I see a lot of people doing the right foot thing and I'm just confused as to the logic behind it.

I'd have to agree. Although the other day I did a right foot down first for some reason and it just didn't feel right. Definently the left

I just said left foot because I didn't want to brag but I actually don't use either. I'm so good both feet stay on the pegs and the bike just balances itself. Kinda cool to actually see it. old Jedi trick

Both, so I can stand up and stretch for a few seconds and give the package a brief break.

I'm with abnviffer. I only put my left foot down to appear "normal".

ex trials riders balance all the way! knees out, twisting body, foot in the air, bike pushing one side to the other! All perfomed at the lights!
One point lost for every foot down.

Yeah. Uhuh. That's what I do. Oh yeah. Certainly. Every time. Piece of cake. And the soles of my boots look brand new!

Putting a foot down would require stopping...I'm actually typing this while leaning into a sweeping right hand turn...I never stop!

During the equinox or any federally mandated holidays I use one foot. In the northern hemisphere I also use one foot. If I am in the southern hemisphere but the moon is in a waning phase then I might use another, but most often I go with one of my feet. I might use your foot, but I can't reach it when I am riding. When you go to sleep after the BBQ, then I can get one of your feet to use, then I don't have to take mine off the pegs ever...

Option 2: do the college campus MTB balance-on-the-crank-at-stoplight method. works great until you fall on your ass on a $10k motorcycle.

They taught left foot in the MSF, and that's the habit I've always kept.
Of course now, I can use the front brake to on a hill and take off normally. Just a habit.

Unless need neutral to adjust your gear of something, there's no real advantage to having the left foot down as opposed to the right.

2 foot is something I see as an indicator of poor skill and duck walking.

Definitely the left foot. Feels wrong to use the right now.

I put which ever foot down that's going to set me up better for how long I have to stop,or for no other reason than to stay comfortable using either foot..........Monk
