had been bike shoping for a while now,
was sick of never being able to find used VFR's for decent prices.

had settled on a "New Non Current" Superhawk
in the dealings, the dealer asked what it would take for me to go home with a bike that day.....

    I replied,
gimmie that VFR for the same price out the door.

we came to a deal, somewhere inbetween.

so I am the proud new owner of a "NEW" 2004 Asphalt Black VFR800 VTEC

I've since put 3500 miles on her,
as well as a set of hard honda bags
and just installed a new Puig double bubble screen.

I am currently looking for a set of bar risers (possibly helibars)
and a new seat (leaning towards Sargents)

    Congrats! You will love it.

I'm delighted with the quality, comfort and fit of my Sargent seat. Got mine from Sandhills Powersports for $316 including shipping.

Went the Convertibars route for maximum adjustability. I'm delighted with the Convertibars, too, but they're expensive as you need longer brake, clutch and throttle lines to get to the maximum rise and pullback. About $540 and at least four hours labor to install.

Whether you do Helibars or Convertibars, you may find that double bubble isn't tall enough after you change the bars. I'm very pleased with the Zero Gravity Sport Touring screen. About 3 or 4 inches taller than stock with a little kick-up at the top.

    Good luck.

that deal rocks! It makes me think about getting one myself and I love the one I already have. I'm sure I could talk the wife into it... Hmm, I could fly up there and ride back... hehe... ok, that's enough... I'm gonna talk myself out of it now before it's too late.

    thanks man,

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the Helibars (don't wanna deal with new clutch and brake lines)
and a sargent's seat here pretty soon.
