    Hello, I have a 02 honda VFR 800 Vtec.
This is the problem. This doesn't happen EVERY time but once every two weeks or maybe even twice. When I start the bike and it is in Neutral everything is fine. As soon as I switch out of Neutral into 1st gear or 2nd gear, the bike just stalls. I know my clutch is engaging because when I hold the clutch handle the bike can roll in gear. If I push the bike around a little bit it will RANDOMLY go into gear and drive. My bike has 36,000 miles on it.

The first thing i would look at is the safety switch built into the kickstand. If the kickstand is down and the bike is put into gear the switch will turn the bike off. If this switch is faulty then the situation you are describing could happen.

+2 on the Side Stand Switch. That is pretty much the single only thing on a modern motorcycle that could cause the problem.

    KC-10 FE out...

happened to me on an old bike (non-vfr)
use some WD-40 on the button and push that thing in/out about 100 times. should loosen it right up
