I've just had Staines fitted to my '05. Not as loud as i expected with spuds out, but a nice note all the same.
With spuds in only slighty louder than stock.
Now i also just had the 1000klm(600 mile) service done so it may be coincidence, but the flat spot/surging in the 4-5000rpm range is also smoothed out.
Either way i'm happy with the pipes, they fit in well with the look of the bike and very nice 'n shiney (will be PITA to keep shiny i imagine).

Man I love the color of your bike.. I wish they sold that color over here in the states..

    Congrats on the new Staintunes..
I just ordered a set of Remus for my 06 today.. I hope to hell they are loud and sound really good. With that much $$ spent I dont want it to be anywhere close to stock sounding..lol.

I got my tune a couple weeks ago for my 98 and I wasn't all impressed with it as I thought that I would be. It is definitely a lot louder than a TB. The more I have driven it though, the better sounding it has become, and the more I like it.

I just put my Staintune on about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I rode around with the spud in for awhile but after I took it out, the only way it's going back in is a pillion rider complaint on a long trip or a REALLY long trip on the highway. But probably not even then.

Also, I agree with okiengr that as time has rolled by it sounds better and better. The rumble and growl when it's idling or low gear, low throttle sounds like it's getting deeper. Could just be my imagination running wild though...

    Staintune high mount

Just put the high mount on my 99 and as soon as I fired that baby up, I knew it was money well spent.

The Staintune was perfect for me because I can ride in Stealth mode if I want, or unleash the beast which will be most of the time.
