    Hey all,

Just wanted to say hello to everybody, just brought home my new (to me) 2007 RWB vfr. Drove up yesterday to Maine and back to bring it home...
Have driven it just around the block so far, but I like what I'm feeling.
Had to sell one of my dirtbikes for collateral, but its all good, I'm pretty psyched that I can pretty much flatfoot this bike, wasn't sure till I sat on one recently.

Came off of HD's for the past 4 years, had three, sportster/dyna/road king custom. Geez, as they got bigger, they got slower and more hoggish... whatdyaknow. I got sick of the way they (didn't) handle, and their lack of quickness. And yes, most of them (for me) were just too damn loud. All blow and no go so-to-speak.

Anyway, this is my first "sport" type bike, I lurked on this forum for a while soaking up the considerable knowledge many of you have.
Thanks for having me, this community seems pretty cool.

The smart ones always seek the correct path to enlightenment.

Welcome to the good side. You won't regret your decision. And as Bitterpil says, a great place to share thoughts with your own fellow kin.

    Welcome ace,

I'm new to the site as well. Congrats on your new (to you) RWB (my favorite bike) - mine the previous year 06 Pearl White and I added some red and I'm not sure where to but the blue...??? -
anyway, great choice in the VFR - what an upgrade from HD - Good luck with it.

    BJ

ps; where is SE Mass? I'm in southern NH (for past 27 years) and grew up down there (Weymouth & Halifax) still have relatives down there.

My last bike was a Harley Sportster. It is for sale now. Everytime i ride my VFR (especially since the new kicks have broken in) I am more and more impressed with a very classy, well engineered ride.
My only complaint is that the front suspension (5th gen) is built with too much favor to luxury. Otherwise, I don't deserve such a sweetheart of a bike.

Thanks for all your warm replies fellas, I am happy to be here. Doesn't seem to be quite as much rampant testosterone here as compared to the Hardly Debitson sites I used to "frequent."

BJ....I live in Bridgewater-pretty near Halifax as you know. I like the red that you put on your pearlwhite VFR, looks real sharp. I think it look slammin w/o any blue on it.
It's weird TFrost, although the sportster, my first HD, was ridiculed by many of the billybadasses on the bigger bikes, I miss it the most-and preferred its' flickability (real word nah?) to the bigger models. Of course it couldn't do shit on the superslab.

    Anyway thanks all cya

    ace57,
Welcome...The VFR is the "swiss army knife" of bikes. It preforms admirably in any situation.
BTW, the father-in-law keeps his 1200 sportster here and I have had ridden it a few times. There is absolutely NO comparison to the VFR. HD = Flintstones, VFR = Jetsons!
