    alright guys?
hoping you can help me. My bikes hub has siezed up nice and tight. iver tried loosing the pinch bolt completly off and spraying as much lub as possible in and leaving it over night. and then the next morning using the correct C spanner to try and move it but with no avail, i even tried gently tapping with a hammer and still no joy.
So the bugger has got to come out.

So as i have appeared to have lost my manual i was hoping someone could give a quick step by step guide to getting the thing out. the reason i ask is that while i have a lot of tools theres nothing more frustrating than getting half way through a job to find out im missing a vital tool or replacment part. it makes it difficult to nip up to the store when my only form of transport is in bits if you get me

so any help at all would be much apreciated guys!
    ta

    Joe

Before dissasembly i'd try to very slightly wedge the clamp apart at the seam with a screwdriver blade while spraying with penetrant and attempting to turn adjuster......

    Cheers fellas for the info.
02 vfr rider- THANKS the manual will come in very handy im sure! It only took 10mins to download thankfully.

Soundman31, yes i have tried it both ways  thanks for the link although i had already hit the search before posting and had read that.

squirrelman- thats exactly what im trying. Around the seams seems fairly free, but i cant think of a way to get the pentrating fluid at the front where i think its needed. maybe if I remove the chain gaurd i can spray from the top and hope it 'creeps' in. Its not tottaly stuck as i got some movement and managed to adjust the chain, it did require some llight tapping with a hammer though, so im still keen to clean it out.

Has anyone stripped it on here? it seems like a time consuming process thinking maybe a3-4 hour job to disassemble and then reassemble?

    Cheers
