Hi, my name is Brandon and I am a big fan of the VFR. I have never actually ridden one, but have probably sit on a 1000 in various bike shops. I have been riding for 12 years, and have watched the bike progress and always raved by the magazines. I recently had an SV 1000 which was stolen from me and the police found it, but the condition was pretty bad. All is good, insurance is helping and I am not going to prolong my ownership of a VFR any longer. I like the new generation models, but I believe my favorite was the 97 model and the years around it in red. Thanks for your time and I am very glad that I found this site. thanks

Welcome to the group. You obviously have good taste in VFRs. You will never regret getting a red 4th gen ('94-'97).

    Welcome to the site!

A great choice of bike....regardless of the year.

They're all great bikes. And many here strongly believe that red is the fastest colour. Either way, you'll enjoy the bike. Once you bring her home, throw up some pics of your new ride.

Yeah, you'll get no dissing of the VFR from the guys around here. Do us a favor, though, keep it a secret as there are a lot of clowns out there who don't know about the VFR and we like it that way. You'll see them every once in a while say something like "Hey I want to add a VFR SSSA to my {insert squidly sportbike here} anyone want to sell one?" That's when we go for the torches and pitchforks.

Hi Brandon, I'm BJ, also new to the site. I currently have a 6th Gen 2006. My last ride was a 1992 VFR 750 and an 85 VF700f Interceptor before that. Welcome to the site, and I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I promise you though, if you spend your insurance check on any VFR, new or old, you will not regret it. GOOD LUCK!
