Ben proved he was too good for AMA by beating Mladin, and now has shown he's too good for WSB by beating Haga: time for him to move on to moto GP!!!

A $5 bet says he's the next American Moto GP World Champ.

    Now youre talking.......get him R.W.

As for comparing Spies and Pedrosa, I was not trying to compare anything about them other than the fact that some people may think theyre not personable enough to fans. And I dont even know for sure if that statement truly applies to Spies..

All I know is that Spies is one rare talent.......and I really want to see the other WSBK riders step up and and not let him run off and hide every race.

These guys arent going to let him, they'll try everything they can to keep up with and pass Spies, and then there's always the unfortunate crash.

Damn, I'm looking forward to this .

I will continue to root for Nori and for Spies, and I've been pretty impressed with the BMW effort so far.

Has this been a great start for WSBK season or what?

Oh, and if I was 5'2" and weighed 112 lbs.......I'd be nicer to people. Living here close to Churchill Downs I see those types quite often, and except for being hungry all the time, theyre good guys, doing amazing things for their body size, and they love the fans.

    Pedrosa's a little shit

I would vehemently agree with the first part. And just nicely agree with the second part.

I got so sick of watching Spies in AMA I quit watching ama. But I have to admit I wish him all the luck in the world in WSBK! He has some crazy talent.

Does anyone really watch AMA anymore? Is there really any point to watch it?

Not no more after the Daytona 200 debachel, now I hear they just pulled out of Miller Motorsports park on the World Superbike weekend when they could have had their biggest attendance and world wide coverage, hell of a job so far DMG

I don't know Dude, the Squirrel may be on to something or just ON something. I just finshed up watching the Philip Island races (yes, folks I have no cable, so finally watching on line:thumbsup:) And what Spies did was not an example of pure-raw talent. Then I don't know what else to call it!

Granted he has a loooonnnggg way to go, but he keeps it up, Moto GP could get really interesting.

We all know someone will unseat Rossi. It's just a matter of who and when....

Ya, that's what I've heard too. Nothing official from the AMA yet but we shouldn't really be surprised. Like you said....DMG. Enough said!

The Original Topic of this thread has been compromised.

Don't be hating when Ben jets out of Valencia with his girlfriend on one arm, his mom on the other, and the championship lead in his front pocket.

I understood Spies was offered a MotoGP ride but that it was not in a team that could be competitive. So he went with Yamaha in WSBK which is looking like a good choice. Sadly if he wins the title this year, the most likely outcome seems to be that he would replace Colin Edwards in the Tech3 Yamaha team. My crystal ball is very cloudy though...

We shouldn't get too excited about Spies racing on tracks he's never seen whereas everyone else was brought up on them. There's a lot of Aussies, Brits, and Japanese in Superbike and Supersport who learn as they go.
The Playstation or X Box is becoming an important tool these days.

As for Pedrosa's fan club being other Spanish riders, Lorenzo and the dwarf do not get on at all. The King of Spain made them shake hands at the Spanish round last year. Despite the fact it was a royal command performance it was done with rather less than good grace.

All in all should be an interesting year.
