to tell you the truth ive never used seafoam, so i cant tell you if it works or not but why would you need to use it?? there is no fix in a bottle, i might be a bandaid if theres a problem with your bike just fix it dont trust crap like that to keep your machine in tip top shape.

well seafoam is a great cleaner i have used it but at first my spark plugs were so bad that they caused the bike not to idle properly but after i changed my plugs it did a great job of cleaning out the carbs and engine. Matt is probably right that it is a band aid solution for you rob but i just wanted to run it thought because the bike was not started for around 2 years.

is it true that the VF500 shares the same crank that the RC30 has?

The RC30 is a 750cc and the NC30 is a 400cc so i doubt either of those bikes share parts with the VF500

    Parts?

Where do you usually get parts for your interceptor? I have a 1985 vf500f Interceptor and I cant seem to find the parts on ebay or any other internet site. I'm looking for a windshield thats not fogged up, a tale, and a front fearing. Do u know of a good source to find parts?

For anything I'm looking for, I always check with American Honda first. They usually have most of everything but the bodywork. For everything else, I do use eBay, Craigslist, Cycle Trader, even VFRWorld. Unfortunately, what you're looking for is pretty hard to find, but it does turn up.

Wow Stewart! That bike is AWESOME!!!! Nice tire selection too, same thing I have on both of our bikes, the VF500, and the Ninja 250!

I'm going to be trying to find some parts asap to get mine back running. I love the little Ninja, but it's no wasy close to the VF500F!

Those look like VTR250 wheels! What's the deal, mate? I am intrigued...
That, or the gorgeous 3 spoke Ross White wheels were used somewhere else?

They are the stock rims that were powdercoated white. When they're black, you don't notice them. When they're white, you can't miss them.

Ah, yes, I can see it now. + the fact that 1)the VTR250 had a drum rear brake, and 2) they were slightly "swooped". I went down to my backyard and did a double check to see how close they were. Rather close, yes.
