Hey there guys and gals. I wanted to know if the 2009 VFR for the U.S. will include the white version. I've got an 1987 700 pearl white one and I'm thinkin about upgrading to the 800 but I want to to keep it white. I've seen some articles saying that the Euro versions will include the white scheme, will the U.S. also? One more question were any white paint schemes done for the U.S. for any of the 800s, from 2004 to 2008? If there wasn't what would I expect to pay to have a bike painted, parts removed, tank, wheels etc. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. On a side note I got some props from a local bike club here in Vegas when they heard my baby fire up with its 4 into 1 kerker exhaust. Gotta love that old school growl. Thanks. TL

The new white/black paint scheme isn't available in the U.S.

HOWEVER, it is available in Canada. Go figure.

2006 had "pearl white" VFR800's IIRC. maybe other years. I'm not a 6th gen aficionado. One of them will have to chime in.

    Edit:

and paint prices very greatly with the quality of the work and whether or not you want a plain white with clearcoat or something similar to the '06 with the metallic pearl coat in it....couldn't quote you a price right now for the life of me though. sorry.

as far as i know 2006 is the only year white was available in the US. anyone disagree?
oddly though, there was a bike shop in orange county that was selling a white 2005 which i didn't think existed. '05 was the silver year. but the sticker on the frame said 2005. possibly after market paint.

Well, I have a 2006 and it is Pearl White. Really wanted a nice red one for 2006, but you had to get a European version. Why do they do that?

Played with adding color by replacing grips, sargent seat with red piping. Also added a few stickers to the lower cowling.

Thanks for all the input. Man what a bummer. Would there be any problem buying one in canada and bringing it in to the U.S.? I wonder if it would be cheaper in canada. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for an 06 or think about painting an 09. Until then the 87 will have to continue gettin the job done. Thanks again.

As an owner of an 87 VFR 700F2H and a 2008 VFR800, I'D like to go on record as liking the 87 better ( so far anyway).

I have always admired the white 93 VFR750.

Trooper. FYI Things are not cheap in Canada. My new out of the crate 06 was $16K
But with the exchange, you may be in good shape if you can find a new '06. The 09 has Black White scheme. Not fond of that having seen one at a show
