I watched the whole video for the horrific crash of the squid into the rest of the bikes bowling ball style. I was disappointed.

Ok that was somewhat entertaining but there's nothing like seeing a 5th Gen VFR 800 Yellow with the front wheel up! I took mine up on the back wheel last year at 100 MPH, I was on my way back from Toronto, Ontario with 2 buddies! They we're riding a CBR 1000 and a RC51 and I wasn't going to let them get away with it(by passing me)! So VFR's we're well represented on the 401 that summer day. By the way we don't dress like squids we're VFR owners.

    Cheers

    -Awesome!!!!!!
I have also found that it is easier to lift the front wheel if you take off your riding jacket......the stupid thing weighs at least 8 lbs!!

Too right they were squids, funny how many hits you get when you put GSXR with the word crash in Youtube.

Can anyone work out why this GSXR rider went down ?:

Looks like a little too touchy touchy on the front brakes.... but I have a lot to learn still so it'll be interesting to hear what actually went wrong from the more expierenced riders out there.....

Without actually hearing engine sounds to determine if that had anything to do with it, he locked up the front wheel for some reason. There was some kind of debris on the road immediately after he went down. I don't know if it was a part from his bike or road debris.

    KC-10 FE out...

Spotted that too, pretty sure that it dropped off the Gixxer as it appears still moving yards down the road from where he fell over.

i think it was a combo of too much counter lean angle, cold tires, and WAAA too much front brake. you can see him skid...

not so funny thing is, it happened to me last fall - I didnt go down. Was on Summit Point main on the 92, a deer had wandered out onto the track leading into the 100-110mph turn 10. Everyone in front of me gathered their brakes, I jabbed my brake, left a 50' front skid mark, and a 3" bite was taken out of my seat. I was up and down at the time, let go of the brake and went around the jumble of 20 bikes that were almost stopped at about 30mph. Poor deer was sawed in half by a GSXR1000. Rider kept it together, pitted and duct taped plastics and continued.

saw that sid mark on the track for the rest of the day, not cool man.

I think it was that hairy thing in the road ahead of him in conjunction with wandering over the yellow that spooked him... looks like a sasquatch paw.
