haha. I like my VFR. I think it is funny how defensive people get. Love your bike. If you dont like it as much as another, sell it and buy the other.

My VFR is a ton of fun, but it cant touch a CBR on the track, so I bought a CBR too ;)

Personally I think 'Busas are hideous. but its just my taste.

Everyone lighten up, its a cold hard world, and I am pretty sure none of us are getting out alive, so laugh a bit!

And Marko, I'm with you, thats why I bought the CBR600 not the 1K, Ben would not last long on a 1K methinks....

I used to drive a Ford Crown Vic Interceptor that would catch both them!

No matter how good you are, someone will always be better.

How heavy is a busa anyway?

I agree, depending on how that A&A treats the 5th gens. If those that get one installed don't have reports of any major problems, then I may be one of the first in line when the 6th gen edition comes out.

I know that Busa's are faster in the straights then are VFR's, but I have a suspicion that the rider on the VFR wasn't giving his all based on those ridiculouslly exaterated throttle motions. Besides it looks like both were doing well over 100mph when the busa starts to pull away. Just goes to show some riders live in the real world and some don't.

Like I tell some of the young bucks around here, any idiot can go fast in a straight line, but it takes skill to haul adz down a twisty mountain road and not crash.

Saw a 'busa rider down last summer on a popular mtn road here in Ark called the Pig Trail. Had on a helmet, shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt. Missed a corner on the outside and headed down the side of the mountain. Had a good chunk of his left tibia sticking out of his leg. Stupid Hurts.

    Regards,
    H.C.D.

Easy brother, I wouldn't trade mine for any other bike in the same price range, and would trade only for 2 or 3 more expensive models. It's just that I always thought 30 more Hp would make for the ideal bike, as long as that 30hp came on a VFR. That's why I made the comment about the supercharger.

I like the looks of the Busa - a lot. Always have. Any time I mention that to someone, they look like they're going to puke. Diiferent strokes, etc.

It's not THAT heavy, it's got such a low seat height you could probably fit it between your legs when it's down and lift (with a bit more effort) like you're taking it off the center stand.

I shot a dove with a hollow point when I was a kid just to kill something. It exploded in a puff of feathers. Left its mate all alone and looking forelorn. I still feel guilty about it. Just a big pussy, I guess.

573 Curb weight. 485 dry. That's a lot of fluid, who know oil/coolant/fork oil/gasoline weight so much. haha.

Also, did I mention those things have a super long wheelbase? In addition to lack of ground clearance, you have to lean the bike even further over with everything else the same vs traditional sport bike. There's a lot of factors that prevent the Hayabusa from being a cornering machine.

485 dry. Not making a busa argument whatsoever, I'm not a fan in the least, but unfortuneatly about the same weight as a VFR.
