Hello! About to get a 4th Gen...

    Greetings!
I have been looking for a bike to head across the country on in a few months and stumbled across a '96 VFR750 today. I am especially happy that my next bike will be a V4.
I got rid of my '83 Magna V45 (favorite bike) in Feb '08 :frown: and am using my '83 Magna V65 as a trade for the VFR.

The forum seems really helpful. I am currently trying to track down PAIR and other emissions removal advice/instructions, as it was glaring at me the second I took the fairings off to peak at the engine.

Hopefully I will have the bike by Tuesday!

Nice choice and welcome aboard; another member for the 4th Gen Mafia. I have a 94, and have owned it for almost 12 years now. Can't tell you anything about PAIR valves because except for a full 2Bros exhaust and mild rejet, I have left the engine alone.

Now bring it home and ride the crap out of it, they love that.

Welcome Russ. I too started with an 82 Magna 750. I loved that bike, it was a lot of fun to both work on and ride. I now have a 94 VFR 750 (just like the one you're buying). You won't regret it!

Methinks that the PAIR removal is only going to benefit Fuel Injected bikes, not a carbed '96.

I thought about doing it at first, but there's no benefit.

Welcome - too bad you can't keep the V65 and have the best of both worlds - the best sport-tourer, and a cruiser with some B@ll$!! (anyone who has never ridden a V65 - don't underestimate how fast they really are!) I'm sure you'll love the VFR - the more I ride mine, the more I love it!
