On my '93 the previous owner took off the little metal cowl pieces on either side, because they didn't fit with the TBR exhaust system. i looked at them today to see if they would fit with some modification. but i cant even tell how they bolt on. am i missing a bracket or something?

Yes, the two holes on the frame, is where the bracket goes. I put plastic plugs in all the holes, you can get them at any auto parts store, there used for holding door panels in place.

The original exhaust collector has bungs in it for the rear mounting of the cowl pieces. You'll have to fab up a bracket to keep the rear of the cowls from flapping around.

Here's a pix of what I did. I thought it would be to much work to fab up the brackets, but I prefer it w/o the extra fairings.

I still have the brackets somewhere in the garage if you would like a pix, or if your in the Richmond area sometime you can check them out.

Okay, I lied, the right bottom mount to the factory exhaust and to the center stand. The center stand goes into the two large holes, and the cover slide over the two tabs.

    Hope this helps
