    What exhaust is that?

What exhaust is that on the orange bike? Looks awesome! Love the paint too.

I hate to be the repost police, no offense.

Already been posted by the owner HERE.

Btw, it's a custom reverse cone exhaust he had someone fabricate for him. He's looking into getting a production run if there is enough interest. Check out his post on here or the grandaddy of the entire project over at VFRD HERE.

If I remember correctly he was looking for a paint color called "tangelo" or something that he saw on a Lamborghini...iirc.

His bike looks awesome. Custom orange paint color is fantastic, custom headers look sick, exhaust is sick, and it's freakin supercharged.

'til someone other than him has a supercharged VFR I'm gonna have to hands down say his is the best VFR on the planet right now.

He needs to do a fork and rear shock upgrade, then I would agree.

I disagree that a bolt on Ohlins shock or Racetech springs would outdo the upgrade he's come up with. Look at the detail: It Is Now Time For Some Serious Modifications... - VFRD

He might have done the suspension upgrades, couldn't hurt to ask?

    Exactly my point.

No other modification can come even CLOSE to getting 159HP out of a VFR. It's ludicrous. It's got almost as much HP as the first version of the 'busa. A supercharged VFR would be competitive with modern day literbikes. Plus, it's a VFR! I was thinking of buying a K1300S next year, I might divert the funds to a torocharger instead.

    Hey guys,

In case you were wondering, the paint is House of Kolors Tangelo Pearl. It looks even better in person.

As of right now I have a fully adjustable piggyback Elka shock on the rear and am just waiting for some free time to drop on my fully Kyle-valved RC51 front end setup with radial calipers.

I didn't upgrade the suspension due to the supercharger -- I weigh 215lbs and like to ride hard, thus the stock suspension just wasn't cutting it for me. I am actually not looking forward to losing the linked brakes as this is a tremendous braking system, more than capable of slowing a supercharged ride. Plus, I don't know if you've noticed, but I like to tinker, and the suspension is one area that needed some tinkerin'.

PS - I don't like to quote horsepower numbers as there is far too much variance from bike to bike and dyno to dyno, but the day I recorded those numbers I was actually seeing an uncorrected 167hp at the wheel in the dyno room. That's right around 190 at the crank. Who knows what it pulls on a nice 50degF day...
