Hi, I just got my Leo Vince today and I took out the bafflers straight away. With them in the sound is deeper than the with the stock exhaust but not really different. Without the bafflers the sound is kind of close to what I hoped to get for my money. Not loud at all (I would prefer it louder!) but the sound is much more powerful with an aggressive undertone you don't get with the bafflers in. Maybe I am spoilt. I have another bike with a 2 cylinder engine and an aftermarket exhaust (Wolf Racing) that hurts my ears but is great fun.
PS: my wife finds 'loud' exhausts disgraceful and she was making fun about my 'personality disorder'. But surprisingly she complemented me for the Leo Vinces (without the bafflers). The sound is nowhere near racing loud or a 'show off', it just makes clear 'this is a big bike' - a bit like the growling of a powerful dog who knows warning is enough and barking is for the 'fakes'.
Anyhow, it's fairly simple to take the bafflers out (you have to use pliers though as the screws are designed for working only one way -> tightening). So you can safely take them out and put them back in if you or the local regulations have problems with the sound. I live in Bangkok and noise regulations are not an issue. I have to admit that you may have a problem with regulations at higher revs or when the VTEC kicks in. At lower revs I definitely think the bafflers need to be out to give you something for your money. At higher revs you might want to put them back in... (not me though).
Have fun with the new exhaust.
    Axel

The Leo's aren't crazy loud...they are just right. I took out the baffles right away(before I installed the exhaust). So I've never heard the bike with the baffles installed. What I would do is remove the screw that holds the baffles on and install the exhaust. Run it with the baffles in and then use pliers to remove the baffles and run the bike with the baffles out.
See which one you like best...my guess is that you will not reinstall the baffles.:cheersaf:

Why pay all that money just to have the exhaust sound almost exactly like the stock one's you just took off??? BAFFLE'S OUT!! It only seems loud the first time you start it up. I still get drowned out by those obnoxious hardly ableson's with the straight pipes...

Leo's with the baffles out! They sound so sweet. You want to hear loud? Strart her up after you removed the stock system and before you install the Leo's, that's loud!

I've had my Leo's on for about a year now and I hardly notice them anymore:biggrin:

Well guys I put on my Leo’s. I took the baffles out before I installed the cans. The job went real easy I took the stock system of in 10 minutes and got the new one on in about an hour. The hardest part was putting the straps and rubber that holds the cans on and making it look good. But all in all it went great! So I started it…..WOW! Pure Music!! It sounds as good or even better than it looks. Not to loud not to quite…..JUST RIGH!
Thanks for all the help with this. Great mod!!!

PS. Even better the wife didn't find out!
