FWIW: I just ordered a set of Conti RA's. Done a lot of research and for my riding style these appear to be what I need. Go to the Canyon Carvers web and read the tire evaluation on the Conti RA's, really impressive. I ordered mine thru Ride Direct out of Kentucky and got the pair for $237 bucks with free delivery. Am also gonna use Dyna Beads for balancing!

Funny how tireexpress.com does not have them. Believe it or not, a local dealer had the lowest price for those tires for me usually. However, motorcycle superstore has them. I am sure you can find others. M3's will give you better mileage, and M1's are for ripping it up.

i have not tried sport attacks. i do ride with a guy that had them on his zzr1200 . he went back to RA. found SA was not worth it life of tire was much shorter than RA. If i go back to conti i will put a SA on the front and a RA on the back the tires are same except sport is softer compound. in all honesty unless you have a liter bike you will never be able to use the extra grip on the rear the SA offers IMO

Well when I got my vfr, it had the Road Attacks on it. They seemed to handle well in all situations. As I started riding year round, I found them be a little loose in the turns. The back tire would slip once in awhile wet or dry. At my 32K service, I decided to try the Mich. Pilot Road 2's. I'm at 39K miles now, still plenty of tread left, and handle great. I've rode on the heaviest down pours for hours with confidence. 90% of my riding is freeway right now, and they seem to be wearing very evenly. They stick to the road and are worth the money. Good luck in which ever tire you run.

Thanx everyone for bringing attention to the OEM Metzelers, I'll change them as soon as I can.

CONCERN! I just bought my VFR and being up here in Canada I'm probably not going to be riding for a good 5-6 weeks. I'm not taking my life in my hands with the OEM tires am I? I've got a young family and I can't just change tires on a whim.

+1 to this; plus they stick like f'n velcro. Short warm-up time too. And they are extremely cool-looking.
