Isn't the bike only worth what you told your insurance company it's worth? I mean, not like you give them numbers, but don't you have to declare to them all of your aftermarket stuff? In which case they would have raised your rates. I'm certainly no expert and you may have done this but I'm pretty sure you can only be compensated for that extra stuff if you were paying insurance on it all along.

As for the computer - not sure how that goes. My brother wrecked over the summer and his computer went down - don't think he got that paid for (though his was a single vehicle - you can probably get it out of the other party). A lot will depend on the plan.

    Glad to hear you're ok.

    I'll second Rev's response Digital.

And I think the guy in his avatar witnessed your accident!

I am guessing you were not wearing gear? Your avatar shows you in shorts? How is your skin? Did you get thrown? I would much more worried about my body than my bike. You'r stuck with your body, your bike can be replaced. I have recently riding ATGATT simply from stories like this. I used to just wear a helmet because it was more comfortable to ride stupid, than safe.

I am glad you are okay, but what gear did you have?

I was geared up for the most part. And those aint shorts. It's a kilt!
I couldn't have come out any better considering. She told everyone that she ran the light and wasn't looking.
On my side I was possibly fixated on the kid at the corner in front of me on the right. He had made a whooping noise that sounded like a cop burping his siren. So when my light turned green, I watched to make sure he was coming straight and not across my path. Usually in this neighborhood I wait a second and scan both ways as I've seen plenty of chases through here.
Her insurance called and asked my side of the story. It fell in line with her side. The adjuster knew she told everyone she wasn't looking and it sounds like they're replacing everything.

Sad news is the replacement bike I picked up is a 2002 BMW R1150RT. It's a sweet bike but I really miss my VFR.

We got a Vffer down, We got a Vffer down! Glad to hear your okay and a new bike is on the way, but it's sad to hear the 98' VFR didn't make it! I swear how do some people get and keep their driver license (morons)!

We should all bow our heads to the VFR God another one is touring to the skies above!

But like I said before glad to hear your ok.

Maybe autopsy it and part it out on here or Ebay!
