    eBay Motors: +25HP D-BOOST PERFORMANCE CHIP HONDA VFR800 ST1300 (item 120382599224 end time Mar-01-09 18:40:42 PST)

If you are not looking to spend big $$$ for a power commander check this out.
I must admit I bought it as a dare more or less, my friend picked up a PC after debating buying this- so I picked it up too see if it works.
I do not have anything to do w/ company or product itself.

I have a 02 VFR stock w/ stock gears - with it installed it will rip front wheel off ground with out the clutch. Could not with out it.

shipping is alittle high - cost to ship on envelope was $1.68 - but still much cheaper then PC.

Adj screw seems to do nothing as well but still adds power - no smoke or smell of running to rich at all - I was and still am impressed w/ this.

Great for aftermarket tail pipes or stock bike.

I can also send wire diagram to hook up right the first time - I installed it on wrong lead on air temp sensor at first - directions were fussy on what wire to hook up to.

    over all

I have a bridge for sale that goes to Brooklyn that might be of interest to you, also.

(Is this chip for real? I can't get to eBay from my work PC.)

how about a dyno test before/after?

Are the gains higher or lower than a good dose of Slick50?

    But it is for real.
    I figure 110 - 115 hp to rear wheel
Will dyno this summer w/ it on and off
I thought I was just throwing the $$$ out the window, but turns out my friend did w/ the $$$$ for PC and to have shop set it up for him.

I've been researching synthetic blinker fluid and it's claim of an additional 5hp but this little plug in is much, much better it appears.

no, no, I jest...unless you really think I believe in turn signal blinker fluid.

On a seriuos note, I would be curious to see a dyno. I have read up on that before but am extemely skeptical.

as was I but a double dog dare was applied.
So I took the plunge and $60.00 is better then $600.00 for my stock VFR.
Oh and I turn it off while riding in the rain.
laugh all you want my wallet is happier then my friends wallet.
    ( his bike is a 07 gixxer 750 by the way )

There is NO WAY you can get a 25 hp increase in ANY motor for $40.

    Well maybe with Slick 50......

Tell you what, you come and ride my bike w/ it off then turn it on and see for yourself
Not and never claimed 25 hp increase more like 10 to 15hp over stock, and there is a increase. hooks to both 02 sensors and air temp sensor

    From the eBay listing....

It tricks the ECU thinking the intake air much more cooler, then the ECU will send more fuel for a richer mix besides if the current vehicle has oxygen sensor it tricks its signal to avoid ECU safe mode and low performance.

Why should ECU limit the mixture's air fuel ratio?

The answer is simple, ECU is calculating the air/fuel ratio also per all sensors' signal, and the last and most important respected control step is the oxygen content in the exhaust gas. If O2 sensor delivers fuel rich signal to the ECU, HP-gain will be limited.
Our evaluation does not let the Oxygen Sensor delivering fuel rich signal accordingly ECU will allow the advanced injection.

25 hp increase? Not a chance. 5hp? Maybe. And your fuel mileage will be way down running the richer fuel mixture. Really, just a poor man's PC.

Must get D-BOOST, with a Dyno graph supporting the ad plus belows sales blurb can't see how you'd go wrong...

" Acceleration will show attractive and surprising values, besides an extreme result can be expected when revving up the engine from a low to a higher RPM. "

Darn don't have O2 sensors on my '99 I'll have to make do with the performance gain from Kevins synthetic blinker fluid.

Kevin how much are you claiming in top speed increase, can you support your claims with a colorful picture, how per quart and does it come in high glow colors ?

Also enjoy having your catalytic converter burn up- excessive unburned fuel because the engine is being artificially richened is not a good idea. I did install some thinner floor mat gaskets in my pickup for a nice HP gain.

Reading some of these scams is like getting kicked in the intelligence.

gutting cat or going w/ catless header to bring temp down.
but no problem w/ the kitty as of yet and has been on bike for 2 years.
as noted before no smoke of smell of running rich. ( pluged in air fuel ratio gauge from my subbie to ck that )

I'm thinking this oil bypass kit is an even better route, that special blinker fluid is expensive when I take into account the exchange rate.

Check this out, and only $49.95

Engine Oil Bypass Kit - $49.95 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!

Their performance description is as follows:

Modern synthetic oil is very expensive - so why run the risk of getting it dirty by running it through your motor block? KaleCoAuto bypass kit comes with everything you need to run the oil around your motor block where it will do more good. Oil runs cooler, and as a result, there may be horsepower gains!

No problems with this, right?

    (for derstuka, I'm joking!)
