depends on what material. for steel, you'll be right close to 700, probably over after tax and shipping.

Well, I've had my Staintune Low-Mount on for about 3 weeks with the baffle in and this past Friday I removed it before riding all weekend. Wow. What a difference! While I have to say, it can get pretty damn loud, it sounds SOOO sweet. I would suggest just putting the baffle back in whenever you have a rider or want a quieter ride for a little bit. But man, people notice me on the road much more often now. I got my Staintune low-mount for $450 and it was worth every penny. Good luck!

Yeah, actually I was gonna say something like "but that's on my '98 with one pipe!" But I didn't want to rub that in....

Still, I hope you find something you're happy with!

    Good luck!

    SeaDooLoo has the right idea!!!
That is exactly the type of exhaust I'm looking for...for my 06.
How much modification was necessary to put those Laser cans on?
Is the exhaust running through both?
    Any recommendations would be stupendous!!!!

OK, If you are going to be using a large diameter muffler (3 and a half inches or larger) Then it is pretty easy. You just cut off the stock mufflers right where they meet the tubing and you also have to cut off the reinforcing piece on the one side. (when you look at your stock pipes you will see what I mean.)
Then take a 2 inch piece of 1 and a half inch diameter, stainless steel tubing and cut one end at about 10 degrees. I had my large muffler from my laser set up and it slipped on the 1 and a half inch diameter tube with the sleeve provided. Then I test fit the mufflers and pipes and marked them where everything aligned right. Then welded the little extension pieces on and also welded on little 1/8 inch rods bent in a hoop to accept the laser retainer springs. That one was easy.
The second set I made, (mufflers I got from shade tree, I think JC whitney has the same thing) required me to move the inlets outward so I could get the skinny muffler closer to the outside of the undertail section. I found a 1 and a half inch stainless steel handicap rail at Lowe's. I cut the ends of the stock pipe at an angle and made an elbow using the elbow off the handicap rail. I had to cut out a small pie shaped section and bend the outer edge of the elbow over to tighten up the radius of the elbow. Then I welded on a 1 and a half inch long piece of the straight section of tubing, and tacked everything first so I could cut the tacks and modify if needed. It did need some modification. Once I got everything where I wanted it I welded everything in place. The new mufflers had a bolt on clamp and required a thin sleeve to fit the 1 and a half inch diameter tube. I then fabricated 2 stainless steel brackets to bolt the mufflers up toward the rear under the seat.
It takes a little time and effort, and you have to test fit things to get them right. but, once they are done you will be extremely happy. I had a friend of mine who is a mechanic tell me my bike sounded like a "finely tuned exotic sports car". To be honest, I agree. I love this new exhaust.
By the way yes, the exhaust comes out of both pipes.

No, it's not very long. It only takes about 50 seconds to play it. I just clicked on it and a little thing showed up which had one of those play buttons, I hit play and it played it. Took 50 seconds to play and downloaded instantly.

VFR's with aftermarket cans are a must...

Re the Gen 6 ride regularly with guys with Lasers, Staintunes and Micron's in my opinion the Lasers look the most interesting but to my ear the Staintunes sound the best, Microns are louder but personally don't think they sound as nice or finished off quite as well.

On my Gen 5 I have an ARROW Special parts Carbon Can, think it looks and sounds good.

The best VFR I ever heard was a Gen 4 with a Tingate, very loud and sounded very much like a nicely worked 426 Hemi... :)
