You guys can WHORE up this thread all you want! Besides, everyone knows that Jason is my PIMP anyway... Don't worry Jason, I'll work some Overtime on the streets tonight so I can git you yo money!! So I guess then my dumb question (setting myself up for Long to talk more *$&%&%) is who's planning the ride for 3/8?? When and where? I have a couple friends that might want to join us. One rides a GSXR and the other a Harley... Here's a joke my friend sent me, thought you guys would like it...

10-year-old girl was walking down the street when a big man on a big-old motorcycle pulls up beside her and says, "Hey little girl, do you want to go for a ride?"
"NO!" says the little girl as she keeps on walking.
The motorcyclist pulls up beside her again and says, "Hey kid, I will give you $10 if you hop on the back."
"NO!" said the little girl and proceeded down the street a little quicker.
The motorcyclist pulls up to the little girl again and says, "Okay kid, I will give you $20 and a BIG bag of candy if you hop on the back of my bike for a ride."
At this point the little girl turns to him and screams angrily, "Look Dad, YOU bought a Honda instead of a Harley, so, YOU ride it!"

I thought it was the other way around! Got my radio last night and range seems a little ok from where i was. wifey was inside the house and i was about 3/4 of a mile away with houses. a little scratchy but audible.

 

ah hem....did you have it on a (cough) GMRS (cough) frequency when you were testing it? Those channels have higher frequency. (Cough) GMRS is channels 1-7, and 15-25 or something...I forget. It is (cough) illegal (cough) to run a GMRS channel without a license....so of course I would never ever ever do that.....

tested it right out of the box with whatever setting it came with, channel 1 i guess. :thumbsup:

Can't wait to try my radio with you guys. Got my headset yesterday... Radio won't be here til Monday I guess. Anyway just in case anyone was wondering, I plugged my Ipod into the headset and it works fine, someone asked at one point if you could use the headset with their Ipod and the answer is yes.

As far as the ride goes, Jason, let's plan on meeting at 9:30 AM at the park n ride at the 76 and the 15 on 3/8, and leave by 10:00 AM. Ride for a couple hours, have lunch somewhere, whatever sounds good to you guys, I'm easy...

Lookin' forward to it, did you guys go for a ride today?? Better post some pics, and let me know how the radios worked...

Thanks anyway man, I was kinda hopin' to ride a little closer to home on Sunday. I like the idea though, why don't we plan on something like that after your SLOIII Roundup maybe in like May or something. I'd like to meet you guys, especially since I won't be able to make the SLO thing Anyway, I look forward to meeting you guys whenever we get a chance... Also anyone who wants to ride this Sunday (Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego area) please let me or Jason know... We can make it as long or short a ride as you guys want, I'm easy...

 

wont be able to make it this weekend chuck. we're going out of town on friday eve and back on sunday.

did ortega hwy solo the other week....SWEET ROADS! nice and debris-free sweeping corners.....with new tires, i felt more grip, had much more confidence and almost got my knees to touch the road!
