"84 VF750 mirrors compatible on a '84 VF500?

curious if anyone knows...

i have an '84 VF500 and broke a mirror while in storage...have a feed on someone with a pair in excellent shape off an '84 VF750.

the connection area seems different betweeen the two models...are the 750's compatible with the 500?
they look like they'd fit directly into the hole where the 500's adapter goes, but don't want to buy them as no return policy...

any info, much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure they would work. The length might be different so I would certainly get both VF750F mirrors and replace as a set, just in case.

I could go out and check my bikes but it's too darn cold today....

 

thanks for the information, no worries about going outside...I had the fellow give me teh diameter and it's a match...getting the pair of them.
