Well, I live in the southwest corner of the province - we're an hour from Montana, and half an hour from Alberta. Believe it or not, we don't get that much snow in this corner of the province because of the Chinook winds that blow up from the south. We do get some cold weather, and enough snow and/or ice to extinguish any thoughts of riding from November until May.
The rest of the province is quagmired in cold.[/quote]

Brrrr........... Something disconcerting about having to use an ice scraper to clean the windscreen, eh?

The current forecast says sun for three days. Temp on Friday supposed to be near 50F. Looks like the bike is gonna get to stretch her legs.

beauty day here, too. think I'm gonna take the bicycle out and dust off the cobwebs, though. I'm getting too soft... May start the VFR a bit, too.

Rode an '06 Concours today. Nice touring bike, inexpensive, but falls way short of my 15 year old VFR. It went to 52 today slowly rising to 62 by Wed or so. Guys down south have it made in the winter......but what about when they have weeks on end when it's 90 or more in the summer? I think I'll take what I have here.

We've been lucky here lately. About 10-12C (50-54F) and sunny for a week. Frosty first thing in the morn. though. I live close to work, so, I drive home, have lunch, ride back to work (usually not directly - if ya know what I mean).
Bike had grip heaters when I bought it. Something I never bothered with on my other bikes, but I use them all the time.

Looks like it's back to rain next week.

I actually can't stand heat, wearing all the gear. I like about 60F

Only been able to sneak a few quick rides here in North Central Georgia but it's nice to scrape the rust off the skills nonetheless. It's either cold as hell or raining. But then that's what leather is for right?

I'm hesitant to weigh in from Texas because you all're suffering, but it's great down here; low of 45 this morning when I rode into work & high of 70 for the sunny ride home. God bless!

Well, I think I found a partial cure for the winter bike drought - downhill skiing. I took my wife and kids to the mountains for a few days of skiing. Man, what a good idea. It really got my mind off the bike for the moment, and it's a great way to enjoy the winter. Man, I haven't done that for ten years.
But hey, al you guys in the south still have it better than me!!
