I stole this from another forum... I know this is not the right spot for it, but thought I would share with the vfr people. those that appreciate technology. This is a photo from the 2009 Inauguration, In which you can see IN FOCUS The face of each individual in the crowd !!! You can scan, double click and zoom to any section of the crowd... wait a few seconds... and the focus adjusts. The picture was taken with a robotic camera at 1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera) Makes you wonder who's watching us right now !!!!!!!! http://gigapan.org/viewGigapanFullscreen.php?auth=033ef14483ee899496648c2b4b06233c
found an error I was looking around on that thing. that is pretty cool. george bush looks bored. anyway as I was browsing around either I found a ghost caught on film or there was a glitch in the system somehow. check out this screen cap... if you look around on the photo you can find where I took the screen grab...
You can see that in a few other places as well, if someone moved between the shots (it was taken as a multitude of images not just one single one) you can see blurring or their head/arm or whatever is offset. Pretty cool none-the-less. Plus you can also play "Spot the sniper team".
