Gee it seems to be a common thread here. I got divorced about two years ago myself. The advice ur getting is all very sound. Any money that you lose can soon be recouped. Take some time get your head right and move on brother, it happens to alot of guys. At least you have a cool ass bike to ride. Take care and remember why does divorce cost so much? Answer, BECAUSE ITS WORTH IT!!!!!

 

Hang in there, Sac. I was about to propose to my GF (had the ring picked out, etc.) and a few days before I was going to propose, she says it's over, and BTW, I've been screwing our good friend for the last month. Wanted to put a bullet in my head for quite a while. Needless to say, I recovered, and have been married to wonderful woman for over 10 years and have 2 kids with her.

As bad as it may hurt, it WILL get better.

 

Happened to me 3yrs ago, it gets easier. Since then I've had 4 motorcycles and no steady girlfriend and couldn't be happier. Life seems so simple now. Oh and the best part, When the ex gets drunk, she calls or emails about how great I was and how stupid she is and I just agree and hang up.

Hang in there it definitely gets better in time

I went through this about seven years ago..."no other guy", then, "he's just a friend", then, "I'm sorry, we slept together...in our bed"...and on and on.

The pain sucks, I could care less for her now, my two daughters are all that matter. My youngest (8) loves the VFR!!! I cannot keep her away when it's running. I got remarried four years ago, and my wife is the greatist woman in the world.

Anyhow, do some miles...and don't think about her...let the bike be your peace. I know mine is after a bad day...if you make your way to Pennsy, look me up.

You know what Dude? This could just be the luckiest day of your life! I know it doesn't seem like it right now, but think of all those road trips, being able to go out and play with your bike and work on it whenever the mood takes you. No more kitchen passes, and pleading to get trick shit for your bike. Just do me a favor, don't get married again! I'm just kidding about all of this, but take heart, it won't all be bad. You'll be fine. Trust me.

You are very lucky . YOU HAVE A VFR. Other poor bastards are just stewing without such a great way to bring their spirits up. And they are the best way to find a new/ hotter one.
